“The Power of Preaching” 2-part video by Brian Borgman [RBS]

The following lectures are a part of the Preaching & Teaching RBS class [hear the audio here].

RBS Dean Dr. Robert Gonzales:

Many of us can recall being profoundly impacted by God’s word preached. The potency of God’s word proclaimed derives in part from Scripture’s own self-authenticating power that pierces into the deepest recesses of the human heart (Heb 4:12). It also derives from the influence of the Holy Spirit empowering the preacher who expounds and applies the Scripture to the hearer (Rom 10:14-17; 1 Cor 1:18-31; 1 Thess 1:4-5).

In the two lectures below, excerpted from Reformed Baptist Seminary’s course on preaching, Dr Brian Borgman develops the characteristics that make for powerful preaching. Enjoy!
