This annual week of teaching and discussion is aimed at helping men who desire to be better equipped for service in their churches. It is a post-graduate level course which assumes familiarity with the Bible and Christian theology, and it is an itensive week of study with up to 30 hours of teaching over the course of five days.
While it is primarily intended for men who attend churches within the Fellowship of Reformed Baptist Churches in New Zealand, others may attend at the discretion of our elders. Participants are expected to attend the entire School of Theology which begins with lunch on the Monday and concludes with dinner on the following Friday.
Registrations are now open for our ninth annual School of Theology to be held from 13th to 17th July 2015. We require all participants to complete the online registration form and pay the registration fee, which covers the cost of all meals and refreshments (from Monday lunch to Friday dinner), any class handouts and other associated expenses:
…From 22nd June 2015 the late registration fee will be $125.00
After 30th June 2015 registrations will be closed (or earlier if places are full)
The Subject & Speaker for 2015
Our teacher will be Dr. James Renihan, who is returning for the seventh time (see below for an introduction to Dr Renihan and the subjects he has covered in the past). This year he will be teaching on The Doctrines of Grace. The course will trace these doctrines through the ages of church history before mining the riches of theological truth that they represent. The course promises to be a feast of historical, theological and pastorally practical instruction, with discussion during the week ensuring that it addresses our contemporary and cultural challenges.
